FAst Boat, Old CCA design, good looking and sea worthy, as long as you like 35% Heel, The helm is heavy and will put a strong set of sholders on you.

Fast, beautiful lines, excellent late 60s fiberglass construction with no blisters after 30 years. Wood and brass with superior seaworthiness. Made many upgrades including 40 perkins diesel. FOR SALE

Pros: solid bluewater cruiser - beautiful lines - classic
Cons: tall aspect rig requires early reefing

Born to reach - the islander 37 is a beauty. I spoke with Bruce King in 08 and he was very proud of this model. Custom built out in So Cal and upgraded over the years. Preparing for a global cruise and taking all advice. Thus fer it's the KISS method. A Kiwi suggests the basics and go.....
