Pros:
Cons:

The J/35 is considered one of the fastest racer/cruisers built to date. Many of the older models are a little spartan below decks however they are accomodating for short to medium term cruising. Our J/35 was easily rigged for short handed sailing and performs well with just two able bodied seamen. As an offshore boat, the J/35 takes weather and points very well. However, these particular J Boats are not flat bottom cruisers and spend much of their time with their lee rail nipping the water. The stock Yanmar 22HP does a good job of powering the boat and access is good. As far as steering goes, we have set up both tiller and wheel steering and favor the tiller even while cruising due to the response downwind.
