My wife and I have a much beloved 1979 26' Paceship sloop that lives in East Gloucester, MA. Without saying too much, "Practical Sailor" magazine described her as "...the most pimped-out Paceship in America." "Points East" magazine (Oct 2012) highlighted her fitting-out in the letters section. You can learn more about me, by reading Sept. 2012 "Points East" (available online) on page 22.
She is an enormously capable little girl that has had several recent 1000nm summers. Last year, we sailed for 31 consecutive days on the Maine coast with just one night sleeping ashore. She usually cruises from Fishers Island to Southwest Harbor.
We are hoping to find a small family or couple to share year-over-year expenses. We are not seeking an equity partner, per se, as we have put way too much money into her to expect that...though, I wouldn't turn that down. She has recent glowing surveys...not to mention a 200hr 3YM30 Yanmar diesel.
Ideally, we would hope to find a Boston-North Shore partner, as Beacon Marine Basin has been far too good to us to contemplate leaving such a fine home. We actually live in Cambridge and have a 3-season cottage in Rockport, which could also be available to a partner family. It's usually less than an hour door-to-door from Boston.
Would consider moving her back to Boston Harbor for the right partner.
