Position Description: CREW AVAILABLE: My husband was on the boating crew with Calgary Fire Dept. and received a lot of training in conjunction with this. I have very little boating experience but have crewed a few times on a 29ft. and 37 ft. sailboat. Over the last 6 months, we have both taken several courses and obtained the following certifications; PCOC (Pleasure Craft Operator Card, ROC(M) (Restricted Operators Certificate -Maritime), Canadian Yachting Association (CYA) Basic Cruising Standard Certificate and the CYA Intermediate Cruising Standard Certificate. Courses we have taken include the Canadian Power & Sail Squadron (CPS) Boating Basics, CPS Boating Essentials, CPS Maritime Radio Course, CPS Navigating with GPS, CYA Basic Cruising Standard and the CYA Intermediate Cruising Standard. We are hoping to develop win-win relationships where we can supply you with our FREE crew services while we obtain more practical sailing experience.
