Marine Rigger Apprentice
Views Date Posted
615 Wed June 19, 2013
Position Description: I would like to become a professional marine rigger. I have experience in dealing with event production and associated rigging, but we use spansets, truss, motors, and things of that nature. I would like to learn wire splicing and terminating, how to inspect older boats, how to design new rig plans. I'd like to learn ALL of it. I'm a hard worker, putting in 12 to 36 hours a day in my current production work. I don't mind getting dirty and I enjoy working with my hands. I've begun digging into Brian Toss's "The Complete Rigger's Apprentice," and I'd like to learn more from a person or company with experience. I can do some basic 3 strand eye-splicing, crown knots and back-splicing.
Keywords: rigger, rigging, standing, wire termination, stays, hard worker
