Boatlife makes good stuff and I'd suggest calling them to ask what happened.

But as i recall, silicone won't permanently adhere to either Lexan or Plexiglass. Polycarbonate or acrylic, two very different materials.

Since so many people confuse the two, I have to ask, you are sure that you have Lexan, not an acrylic, there? Special adhesives, special primers. Silicone will not adhere in any long term, although it may flex enough to seal the trim ring.
