Heading to the Keys!

Hey y'all!

So, we posted a few weeks ago, but someone suggested posting the blog here as well, so I think we'll try to do that under this new thread.

Sorry if this we are over posting...

Anyways, we are a couple guys who bought a Hunter 340 In Corpus Christie, TX about 6 weeks ago with the intention of sailing to the Bahamas (we had originally intended to go all the way down to Grenada, Trinidad, et cetera, but it looks like hurricane season will put a stop to that)

After a pretty nasty night a couple weeks ago, we had our sails pretty well destroyed. But we have made it to Pensacola, Fl. and are awaiting sails (we bought from Somerset, who have been extremely helpful in getting them fast-tracked for us). With any luck, we'll be headed out for Panama City tomorrow or Friday..

From Panama City, we'll be making a jump to Tampa. Then working our way as quickly as possible to the Keys

Anyway, if y'all are interested, we've started a blog. You can check it out at

www dot stillfloatin dot com (apparently we haven't posted enough yet to provide links...)

Also, if anyone has done the trip and has any advice, we'll be jumping around this forum from time to time.

Also also, the blog is setup, out of convenience, on a little online shop that we run that sells marine parts, but are by no means attempting to hock anything to you fine folks, just to quell any suspicions ahead of time.

Hope y'all can check out our progress! We'll try to do some frequent posting here as well

Cheers,

Brian and Brian
