Check your Fuse Holder.

Went out a couple of days ago. Engine started - no problem. Great sail!! On the way back to the marina, wind shifted and what started at 15 knots and 1 foot seas turned in to 25 knots and 3 to 5. On approach to marina, went to start engine and NOTHING!!! Too close to do anything about it. Sailed into slip and got tied up... tuff in the conditions.... scary few minutes. After my hands quit shaking, checked the power coming into the key and when I touched the fuse holder, it fell apart. Moral of the story: 1. Start your engine, BEFORE you need it and if it doesn't start, maybe you can do something about it. 2. Replace the old fuse holder that has been in your boat for 25 years with a new water proof one ($5.00).

Hope this story helps someone avoid what we went through.
