Re: 135 genoa vs 155 genoa

I have a Santana 30 and I have a 155 and a 125. For light air, under 10, the 155 is much faster. Big difference. AT 15 knots the 125 is PERFECT. Has the boat moving about 7.5 knots. You will have to watch the 155 when tacking, I backwind it a bit just to help it move from one side to the other. The 125 ends right at the spreaders while the 155 is 5 feet back of the spreaders, almost to the cockpit. This is of course on a 30 foot boat, but it should be a similar experience on yours. If you sail alot in light air, the 155 will be great, if you sail alot above 10 knots the the 135 in my opinion is a better sail. Are you using a furler? Sail singlehanded? You mentioned races, check that the 155 is legal in your class.
