Vang Angle
This is for those of you who poses more engineering skills than I. Is there an optimum angle to the boom for a tackle vang to be attached. Most people seem to mount at approx 45 deg. to the boom and mast. If you have a relativly short distance down from the goose neck to the bail, can you improve your leverage by mounting the boom bail farther aft?
