Re: Morning, everyone!

Welcome ,Sawyer. Good to sea some are interested in the tall ship and timber construction in particular. My own little tallship (22 tonnes) is yellow cedar on yellow cedar ribs. Not a lot of big projects any more, even in the land of timber to die for,,BC. The SALTS have built two recently and are planning a third in the near future They are an outward bound style organization (sail and life training society) The Pacific Swift and Pacific Grace .are local fir; donated and mostly volunteer labour (mine included) I hear the next project is another schooner (90-100 ft ??) Wer'e talking trunneled sawn frames. The Alaska mill was invented here by Will Malof so many just find the right tree and have at 'er.
