Don't think the water here ever gets above about 40F, not falling off the boat is always a good idea
Some of my favourite sailing days have been when the temperature has just managed to break above freezing, there's a biting wind blowing and clear blue skies. It's a wonderful time to be out on the water, assuming you are dressed for the occasion, as there's usually no-one around except me, some seals, the occasional porpoise/orca and a few bald eagles.
