I did this on mine. Brass plug with washer tapped into the trans inspection plate. Easy to stick the pump out tube in and slide it to the lowest spot of the crankcase. Usually quick and easy.

And here is why it needs to be easy. It's hard for fat boys to get under the cockpit and cozy up to the A4.
