Re: Bearing Buddies for trailers

As a matter of fact I am and expert

stage one

stage two

Stage three

They there always leak the rear sealing area is mild steel and fails even in freshwater

They invented SS speedy sleeves to fix issues as it now has a surface a seal can stay alive on and NOT rust ASAP

They can be driven on over a sealer with some caution and primitive tools

They leave you with a PERFECT SEALING area that will NOT leak

Smart people still spend the two hours once a year to check

And travel with a road kit

The bore area were the buddy installs has a primitive size tolerance on a good day and depending on the hub they are between a hand fit and a sledgehammer

They do allow for a bit of thermal expansion BUT still only lube the outer bearing which already has plenty of grease

If a dirty bottom slows you down what do you think it does to your boat
