I sail 35-45 days a year (wish it was more), and average 30hours a year on the engine; so I would say plausible. A lot depends on the skipper, and where/how the boat is sailed. I basically use the motor to get in and out of the slip, and only when I am becalmed and need to get somewhere do I motor. Equally I know people who use their boat as a mobile home, rarely setting the sails....
