Faster got it. I just did a brake rebuild on my pedestal, my guess is your cotter pin failed and the handle back out, hopefully the brake pads are still salvageable but this would be a good time to get a brake rebuild kit from Edson anyway. Use a hack saw blade to get the old nylon bearing out being careful not to cut into the aluminum
