I do mean an ice cube, or anything else. This rum is too smooth to be mixed with anything but (your own) spit. It tastes like having angels dancing on your tongue.

I have enjoyed other rums: Appleton's, Goslings, The Kraken etc. but none compare with Zacapa neat.

Although probably the most memorable rum drink I had was on Grand Cayman: Appleton's, over ice, with a squeeze of key lime which I had freshly picked from the garden.

Visualize the vastness of the oceans; the infinity of the heavens; the fickleness of the wind; the artistry of the craft and the frailty of the sailor. The oneness that may be achieved through the harmony of these things may lead one to enlightenment. - Flying Welshman
