Start:

After scraping

You get to see where the pads have rested over the years.

I actually spent time to figure out how to do under the pads

This is all very toxic!

Don't forget fairing

Sanding now done:

Barrier coat, Interprotect 2000e

I had one blister that was new

Freshwater protect, VC17m applied:


Somewhere I have pictures of the tools, include a drag scraper, 5in1 scraper, and a SKILL brand dust collecting sander. You could connect a vac to the sander, but I couldn't figure out how to do that and wrangle a hose too.

Good luck, it's a miserable job.
