Re: Yanmar parts prices!

One can find plenty of parts at reasonable prices if you just look. Yanmar does not make the alternator. Mitsubishi does. depending on your purpose, you can find perfectly suitable stuff on line. I bought an alternator from Spider Marine in Florida for around $150. The Yanmar branded is many times that. in fact, the guy at our local Yanmar place suggested i try OReillys for an Alt. Of course, if you need a high output like a Ballmar, an automotive alternator is not going to cut it. I needed to pull a stuck injector and found the tool on e-bay through a tractor supply place in TX. Starters can be found for a fraction of the price. Oil filters can be purcased at an auto supply place. I use a Baldwin 277 (i think) and it costs me $7.50.
