Re: Marvels Mystery Oil

I just finished my biannual spark-plugs and water-pump impellers and i got four nice tan spotless clean spark-plugs i attribute a lot of it freshwater cooling because the 180 thermostat lets the motor burn so much cleaner

Gary there are no seals just valve guides so any blow-by is ring or valve related and a leakdown test would tell in a few minutes

Another performance issue comes form raw-water cooling because and amazing amount of stuff builds up in the valve passages below the valves because its so COLD to the point its surprising the motor can run

You cant even see the gunk without pulling a good bit of the motor apart

If a dirty bottom slows you down what do you think it does to your boat
