You have to have the 5 port converter, no other way around it.
Once you get it then it's just plug and play for the 60+'s to the NG.
I have seen a network diagram where the p60 control head goes from NG directly to an ST60+ device; then the whole (non-NG) Seatalk network is then routed to the course computer. I'm just curious if the NG control device connected directly to the course computer is a better installation since NG has better data transmission speed.
I have the NG to ST cable (not the 5-port/adapter cable set). It has a white NG connector on one end and a ST connector on the other end. My question is will this work to get ST-60+ data, GPS and plotter data over to the course computer? Will the p60 not pass ST data over to the NG backbone?
