First centerboard vs. rock experience
3rd time out with my brand new boat (American 14.6)... On a reach moving along nicely and... BANG. Guys at a local club said they think a danger buoy drifted/moved. Anyway, I'm pretty sick about it
Looks like it's just the gel coat at the tip of the board, but none the less a big disappointment. The affected area is about 3/4 of an inch square. Less than 1/2 inch of gel coat is missing, and the rest of the effected area is cracked.
What's the best way to fix this? Is it something I need to deal with immediately before taking the boat out again or can it wait a while?
Go sailing now my brother,
It's later than you think.
