Side grab rails invaluable and help in safety boarding and moving forward.

Have your front panel with the glass in it glass be as big as possible so you aren't constantly looking brought zippers. Having a big picture window is better than a bunch of lines. Strata glass the best glass. Make sure you use the protectant made or it at least twice a seaon.

Lastly make sure that te dodger is high enough so you can look through it at the helm and protect the helmsman from wind and spray. Many make taking dodgers which protect companion ways but really offer no windbreak or shelter for the helmsman. On most boats I have seen this and don't understand why.

My wife makes our canvas, panels can be replaced easily. I suggest thy zip out with glass as rolling the glass detroys it.
