I'm glad you stuck to your guns on the mooring lines, but what else did the guy take after it became YOUR boat? Once the boat became yours, he became a thief, unless the items were specifically excluded in the deal. Even then they should have been removed before the boat changed hands. Hopefully you have the boat in a new location where the PO can no longer access it so he doesn't decide to help himself to MORE of YOUR stuff!
