On my tiller pilot I have installed a "C" shape bracket under the tiller handle to attach the ram to. It has a pin on the top of the lower portion of the bracket that the ram sits on as the ram has a hole in it for this purpose. The other end of the autopilot has a 4 inch pin underneath it that fits into a hole in the bench seat to anchor the autopilot. There is a stainless plate (similar to the black circle plate in the original post) that goes over the hole on the bench to provide strength. Very easy to setup or remove and easily disconnected if you need to grab the tiller.

Is it just me or does it look like the autopilot is mounted to close to the stern in the link provided by Alex? I wouldnt think you could get the proper leverage needed to maintain steerage in rough seas with the pilot mounted that close to the pivot point.
