Try dropping an email to Tartan and ask what kind of finish was applied to the wood at the factory and what they'd recommend to recondition it (Tartan Yachts Home).

If the finish is oil, and depending on how bad the water stains are, you might get away with washing the surface, followed by a wipe down with denatured alcohol, and re-oiling the wood.

Actually some white to break up the wood can be a very good thing. It all depends on your taste.
