Re: Anyone know anything about Precision Sail Loft?
In regards to Precision Sails. I ordered sails May 9th and ended up cancelling my order about a week ago. After I paid up front I didn't hear from them and had to phone them to get an update. I was told, over the next 2 weeks that the design was in progress and to quote "sit tight". That's when I decided to cancel as I was getting the feeling that I was being "put on hold" while they used my money for their own purposes. In talking with several sail designers/sail makers I found out that it would take only about 3 hours to design a sail after the designer received all the measurements. Again, I had spent several hours measuring and filling out a comprehensive form which I faxed to them. Anyway at the point where I cancelled my order they were still telling me that the design was "underway". I agree with several of the posts on this thread. They might not be a scam, but I wouldn't trust them to provide a good product. No one I talked to seemed to know anything about sails, only SALES. They are not listed by the Better Business Bureau as a member. I am still waiting for a credit to be posted to my Visa and will pursue that. I would not recommend dealing with them as if nothing else they are extremely poor in customer relations. Altogether a really negative experience.
