There will be and interesting case here any second now as a used powerboat was sold BUY A DEALER and caught on fire and sank about one hour after the sale closed and apparently they have a big problem as they neglected to insure the boat and its leaking fuel and oil into the bay from its new underwater parking spot

As sterndrive powerboats do not have seacocks its not like the new owner could have left the water OFF

The boat was sold in the water and running and there was full on CG rescue so everything is pretty well documented


For myself I cant begin to understand how a new sailor could buy a used boat and even have a small understanding of various problems

For that matter it does not seem many of the owners really have and in-depth understanding
