When I finish painting the decks and cockpit, hopefully within another week or two, depending on the weather, I'll be adding screening panels to my enclosure. The enclosure I had constructed made it possible to sail home comfortably in some of the coldest spring weather on record. At times it was just 45 degrees outside, while inside the cockpit enclosure it was 75. There were times when I had to take a panel off to cool down the cockpit, which I found incredible. The screening panels will be duplicates of the clear vinyl panels, but made from lightweight nylon screening used for tent enclosures. It will attach to the bimini using Velcro and snaps, exactly the same as the clear vinyl panels did. Just another fun project.
