You've speculated twice now that self-impaling is a potential hazard -- do you know of any actual incidents or are you just theorizing?

I've been up and down my mast on these steps dozens of times, and I've never considered that as even a remote risk. The ends are about 1.5" wide x 3/4" thick, and don't come close to having kind of point on them.
