Its still burning now, and aflots. makes me wonder if it happened at sea that the crew shuoldnt stay as close as they can to the hull, wait for it to burn out and get back aboard?!
Aluminum can burn or at least melt if it gets hot enough.. and the heat would probably affect all the the through hulls before that point.
