Re: Nanaimo - Princess Louisa Inlet in early July

In July there is often a line from Agamemnon channel to Nanaimo, east of which it is predominantly South easterlies and northwest of which it is predominantly northwesterlies. Sailing directly from Nanaimo to Pender harbour would be your best bet. You can even lay most of that on a single tack, in westerlies. If there is high pressure in the interior and low offshore you will get an outflow. The reverse gets you an inflow, and a downwind sleigh ride up the channel. Night and early morning is the best time for coming down the channel; usually.
Forget the other sugested stops. You dont have enough time going up, and they can be visited later, if you still have the time.
