Electric propulsion
I''m looking into electric propulsion. Specifically, Solomon Technologies'' Electric Wheel. I have a 30'' Albin Ballad I just got and the Volvo Penta diesel in it now is siezed.

I like the idea of clean, quiet, and light weight. Also of no fuels, no belts, no filters and the fact they promise 80k-100k hrs maintenance-free.

Anyone out there have much experience with electric propulsion? What are the pros and cons for both day sailing and cruising?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
