Etap makes a fine boat. Made in Belgium with the distinction of being "unsinkable." Double skinned hull with foam injected into the void between the two. That foam also provides good insulation. The Etap 39 was one of the Top Ten boats of 2001 in Sail Magazine. I''ve been on it at the Annapolis show, and it''s a nice boat. Very well laid out, high quality gear, and is reportedly fast.
I have a friend who bought a used Etap 30 this past year from a couple who bought a new Etap 34, which was in the Annapolis show this year. Another fine boat. Email me directly at email@example.com and I''ll get you in touch with my friend, who then can get you in touch with the folks with the new 34. And if you buy it from the US dealer (Sail la Vie or some such name) you don''t have to worry about having it shipped over.
