I originally bought numbered ones for a rewire but opted for these and I'm happy with them. The clear portion of the label wraps over the written text to protect it, similar to the clear heat-shrink approach but without the shrinking step. It can either wrap the wire or for small wires it can hang off to the side. For a medium sized job they're perfect, for a large job buy a labeler.
