If it's not too late, save the china bowl from your Groco K until after you have the new one installed. The newer model Ks have bowls fabricated overseas and there have been fit/seal problems. Your old bowl may come in handy if you encounter the same problems we did.

Two years ago, we replaced the model K onboard JUNO and the new bowl was so uneven at the base that even with the thick (1/4"?) gasket, we couldn't get it to stop leaking at the base no matter how far we tightened down the bolts. We spent several extra days tied up to a transient slip in Rhode Island waiting for a replacement bowl from Groco -- who were very nice, acknowledged that a problem had arisen with outsourced bowls, and sent us a new one, but nonetheless, living aboard with no head is no fun.

The new one worked/works like a charm.
