Remember that the wheel works OPPOSITE of a tiller.
It's the first thing tiller sailors discover when they take the helm on our boat, and it can be a little disconcerting in tight quarters.
I hear that all the time and can not even come close to understanding this. I have only owned tiller boats and sometimes have sailed wheel boats but after driving a car all the time the wheel only seems natural. I guess I might understand wheel boaters messing up on the tiller but not the other way around. I mean, turning the wheel right when you want to make a left is just crazy talk.
