Firing warning shots legal or not?

I can''t find it now, but last summer I saw a Hobie 16 website with a superb solution to the jetski problem. They conducted thorough and very scientific tests, along with a detailed discussion of the problems involved (even weight distribution fore & aft, P & S, having tiller arc clear of ordinance, etc.) using U.S. Army surplus sidewinder missles with the heat-seeking adjusted. Before and after pictures of the Hobie and pwc were included. One single sample shot apparently cleared a large lake (Lanier?) for about a month. Law-enforcement officials called to the scene supposedly commented on the neat installation and fine detailing of the launching racks. (The photos did look impressive.) The debris field looked so much like the trash that generally accompanies powerboaters that the police didn''t notice anything out of the ordinary.
If someone can find the site, it would be worth posting the address.
