I started by cleaning the boat with a wax a grease remover the filling any low spots, or scratchs with west sytem filler. next sanded the entire hull with 220grit paper on a 5" random orbital. Next I cleaned agian and tacked the entire hull off, plus taping anything that needs to be covered. then primed the hull with awlgrip 545 primer. then sanded the primer with 320 grit then clean and tack before applying topside paint.

this is the short version it makes sound like this is a weekend project, when its really extensive and god knows how many hours. just take your time cause the prep is the most important thing.
