Re: Anyone know anything about Precision Sail Loft?
This spring I ordered a mainsail for my Comar Comet 111 (36 ft) from them. They sent a detailed measurement guide that I completed and returned. The sail arrived as promised and seems to be well made. All grommets and reef points are reinforced, battens are secured with velcro straps and metal fittings are used instead of plastic at high stress points. The sail fits very well. We have been out in moderate winds several times and the sail performs well; we are able to point higher than we could with the old main (admittedly baggy after nearly 30 years of use). We had a slight issue with the insignia (the Comar Comet is not very well known in North America) but this was resolved. Overall, we are very satisfied with the sail and and with the service and responses from Precision Sail Loft.
