Yes, I put on two coats onto leading edges, bottom of the keel and at the water line, then roll on two further full coats over everything. As a measure, I use 10 litres of paint on a 44ft boat with a bottom like this:
This treatment normally lasts an easy 24 months but I don't clean between. This last round went for 30 months and I had just a light dusting of tiny barnacles at the waterline and a fine film of slime that washed of easily with a pressure washer.
