Um, I've dealt only with 2 small Catalina Dealers in my area (trailerables)... and honestly both were quite good to deal with, and would do cartwheels to sell you a sailboat.

As for negotiating room... I couldn't tell you. All I can say is a custom order is likely to have less room for negotiation than buying from a lot (every minute a boat or a car for that matter) sits on a lot, SOMEONE is paying for that storage.

"Rum Line" an S2 7.9 - cheap, fast, trailerable, and paid for.
