It took me a while to get good at wheel steering having learned on a tiller. Now it's all second nature. At the moment I'm training how to drive a tug with a stick. Next will be the joy stick that I've used in a simulator. But give me a tiller over all of 'em.
This thread reminds me, I thought you were going to make it up to Vancouver sometime to take my Alberg 30 for a cruise? Couldn't have promised so much adventure though.
I find driving with a joystick kinda boring(not driven anything huge like a tug though!), It's like driving a remote controlled toy in a bathtub.
It was more your speed from the sounds of it before the bugs were worked out. Back then it had strange habits like going into reverse and running up the engines when the emergency stop was pressed.
