Gorilla tape is great for short term as it will hold and I imagine even if you heeled over it would be fine if it went under for a few mins, but if you are not fixing till spring, I would do a rough fiberglass repair and have them fair it and finish it in the spring. Just get a few square feet of fiberglass fabric and a small amount of Epoxy. do it from the inside if possible and then they can grind out any UV damaged glass and fair it up in the spring.

Might be best if you posted some pictures, but you will have to get some more posts first. Tartan 30's are good solid boats, must have hit something hard.
