Re: Need high-current 12VDC deck plug

Why 20Amp connector from a wind generator??

What size/output wind genny do you have?

I fitted one of these, and these to a small coaster to use to pump out the anchor locker with a heavy duty portable bilge pump.

I know it says 16Amp at 24vdc, but the size of the pins will (and does) take a lot more at 12vdc.

They are only IP44, but if the socket is mounted facing down (as it should be), the plug will fit in (facing up) and no water will be able to enter. Cable entry is at the top via a compression gland or back entry with a "blind" grommet.
This is how I fitted it to the coaster.

These are available in the UK, but should also be available in the USA.
