Re: Most of you know how I feel about waving, right?

My waving story:
I was out with my daughters on the sunfish this summer. It was a nice breezy day and we were having a good time. As we were heading out we saw a boat with a few folks sailing in, fairly close to us. As they passed by the guy at the helm was waving and calling out something. Couldn't quite make him out or figure what he was saying. I squinted, removed my sunglasses and said "what"? But still couldn't guess who it was. I ended with the proverbial half shrug that means, I'm sorry I just don't know who you are. After the point of no return my daughter said, oh, that was Dr. W...., our eye Dr. I felt like an idiot and imagined what he must of felt when his sailing friends asked who the guy on the sunfish was.
