If your home is close to your dock you can do it yourself in your bath tub. I couldn't find any good reliable info and wasn't willing to ship them out at the beginning of this season so I took it upon myself to figure out. I have darcon sails. Follow the directions on the box of oxyclean for soaking clothing. I let my 1st one soak for only 1 hour and it brightened up but didn't get clean. The next one I soaked for 2 hours and it came out clean but still didn't take out the stains. My 3rd sail I let soak for 4 hours and it came out beautifully. I was also very careful to rinse and dry them thoroughly. You could soak and rinse them in your bath tub then take them down to the boat and either take them out for a ride or just put them up on a calm day for a few hours. They dry really quick. I found no deterioration of my sails what so ever and they are the original from 1977.
