Granuaile, there's a recent thread in the Gear & Maintainance forum on this topic, though no one really addresses the electric ones. I was looking into them, but it seems they don't make the water that much hotter than what is in the water tank, judging by the literature. They cite x number of degrees above the ambient temp of the tank at 1gpm.
