We bought our Catalina five years ago. At the time we looked at 90's vintage production boats from several brands including Beneteau/Jeanneau. I found the Catalinas had held up better on average both in systems and cosmetically.

We've been very happy with our boat and with Catalina as a company. Their customer support for a 1995 boat owner has been nothing short of stellar.

That said I'd bet there are a lot of happy Beneteau/Jeanneau owners out there too.

My guess is by the time you figure out the true sailaway prices fully equipped they won't be as far apart as you think.
