Engine Mount - Holder 14

I'm looking to add an engine mount to a Holder 14 for a 2.5 or 3 hp engine. The engine weighs probably 35 lbs. The boat is used in saltwater.

I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions on:

1.) The specific mount to use. I like simple and cheap.

2.) How to install it since the transom isn't really made to hold an outboard engine directly due to the lip at the top of the transom and maybe the strength of the transom - thus I think the need for the motor mount.

The typical pull up kicker attachment is just too much and I don't think I have the room to mount it.

How do you mount something like this. Do you need some sort of backing plate to provide enough strength for the mount?

Any ideas, experience or advice would be most appreciated.

Thanks.
